Executive BiographiesJoe Proto, Chairman and Chief Executive OfficerJoe Proto became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Transactis Inc. in 2007, after nearly three decades in the billing and payments industry as a senior executive and successful entrepreneur. Prior to Transactis, he launched REMITCO, a remittance processing company which was acquired in 2000 by First Data Corp, as well as Financial Telesis (CashFlex) which was acquired in 1992 by CoreStates, now part of Wells Fargo. Proto also co-founded Windham Ventures (an innovation leader in financial and life sciences technology), is an LP with Metamorphic Ventures (focused on transactional media) and is an advisor to Data Impact. Joe is a member of various financial services associations and has been a frequent speaker at conferences in the payments industry.
Close Michael A. Lane, PresidentMichael Lane joined Transactis in 2011 as part of the acquisition of Data Impact, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. He brings many years of extensive executive experience in payments, cash management, and capital markets. Prior to joining Data Impact, Mr. Lane was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bottomline Technologies, a leading provider of cash management solutions, where he led the business to significant growth. Lane has also served as Managing Director, Global Banking and Capital Markets for Pegasystems, a provider of business process management solutions, where he built a New York-based team to penetrate the financial services market and brought on significant new business. Mr. Lane also was a founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Encompys, a start-up independent software company owned by Accenture, The Bank of New York, Microsoft, Compaq, and Advent Software. Lane has previously held senior level positions at Accenture, Chase and Bankers Trust Company.
Close Alex Reznik, Chief Technology OfficerAlex Reznik joined Transactis in 2011 bringing over 17 years of enterprise software development and management experience. Most recently Alex served as Vice President, North American Head of Application Development, Support and Quality Assurance for GfK Custom research, a leading international market research provider. At GfK, he managed the design, development, implementation and support of all business and technology systems. Alex has held senior level positions at Merrill Lynch, Time Warner, American Express, and H&R Block, where he has been responsible for the architecture, design, development, integration and delivery of enterprise business software solutions.
Close Joshua Kampel, Chief Marketing OfficerJosh Kampel joined Transactis in 2010 as part of their acquisition of Offer IQ where he led the sales & marketing efforts. Prior to joining OfferIQ, Joshua spent three years at YCD Multimedia, a provider of digital media solutions for brands and retailers. As Vice President of Business Development & Client Services, he was integral in securing the company’s first U.S. based clients, including Dunkin’ Brands, Estee Lauder and Pizza Hut/YUM Brands. He additionally managed all aspects of YCD Multimedia’s U.S. business unit including strategy, creative direction/production, market research, as well as all oversight of operational and technical services. Joshua previously held top-level positions at STORS Retail Media Networks, Phoenix Media Group, and Alliance Marketing Group.
Close Annamaria Malara, ControllerAnnamaria Malara leads Transactis’ accounting and finance teams. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor in the Banking and Capital markets industry; her clients included Freddie Mac, J.P. Morgan Chase, and RG Financial. After leaving PwC, Ms. Malara spent time at Calabrio, where she gained valuable experience regarding the unique financial challenges facing technology start-ups. Annamaria received her CPA license from New York State in 2009.
Close Charles (Chuck) Kelso, Executive Vice President, OperationsChuck Kelso joined Transactis in early 2008 to oversee overall service delivery including quality control, planning, organizational development and client satisfaction. He is a twenty year veteran of the financial services industry where he has held numerous senior leadership positions in operations with JP Morgan Chase and U.S Bank. Prior to joining Transactis, Chuck was Vice President of the government business process outsourcing practice at First Data and along with Bank of America, directed the successful implementation of the world’s largest child support payment processing operation for the State of California. Chuck was also the co-founder and Chief Information officer of a remittance and imaging company in Charlotte, N.C., which was acquired by Symcor in 2005.
Close Bil Manes, Vice President, Business DevelopmentBil Manes joined Transactis to work with targeted accounts and strategic resellers on company’s secure email billing solutions. Prior to joining, he was with Online Resources (ORCC), where he was a Senior Strategic Development Executive, responsible for channel relationships for its eCommerce Division. He has 30 years of experience in delivering technology based solutions, and has been responsible for business development, relationship management, professional services and customer support. Prior to joining Transactis, Bil held positions with various companies including Online Resources (ORCC), Princeton eCom, BillServ, and Pitney Bowes.
Close Bill Morrison, Executive Vice President, Product ManagementBill Morrison leads Transactis’ software and technology delivery teams. He joined the company in 2007 and brings over twenty years of IT management experience. Prior to joining Transactis, Bill worked for First Data in the Payments Services Division, responsible for all IT delivery of new products, boarding new clients and supporting operations. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the project management office of Citibank’s credit card division managing enterprise wide technology initiatives. Bill began his professional journey with The Associates Corporation in 1985 which was acquired by Citibank.
Close John Norment, Vice President, Product ManagementJohn Norment joined Transactis in 2011 as part of the acquisition of Data Impact, where he led the software development team. Norment has over 30 years of cross-industry IT experience and as a CPA & MBA, also leads invoice & payment automation efforts. Prior to Data Impact, Mr. Norment served as Project Manager for Technology and Operations with Success Capital LLC., a commercial mortgage company, where he was instrumental in leading the customer relationship management system and marketing campaigns. Norment also served as Enterprise Program Manager and CTO of the Retail division of New Century Mortgage Corp. Mr. Norment has held several executive-level technology positions in the call center, financial services, consulting, software, distribution, and computer retailing and manufacturing sectors.
Close Patrick Schutt, Vice President, Service DeliveryPatrick Schutt joined Transactis in 2011 as part of the Data Impact acquisition. With a background in payment and document system design and deployment, Mr. Schutt brings over 20 years of experience to his role as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Transactis and Data Impact, Schutt served as the Vice President of Operations with Speedscan Corporation where he ran the Operations centers in Chicago, Toronto, and Sydney, Australia. He was also responsible for the large international customers including those in the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Speedscan, Schutt worked for the Logistics section of United States Department of Defense.
Close Bob Scott, Vice President, SalesBob Scott joined the Transactis team as part of the Data Impact acquisition. Bob has over 25 years of experience in the treasury banking, financial supply chain, and software industry. Prior to joining Transactis, Bob served in various direct sales, sales management, and executive management roles for a number of key financial services organizations. Bob has a diverse background including marketing correspondent banking services for Money Gram (Travelers Express), managing a full treasury sales team at Wachovia Bank (SouthTrust), and was a consistent top producer in the Global Software Solutions group of Fiserv (CheckFree). As a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Bob continues to play an active role in various financial supply chain, corporate banking, and payment trade associations.
