Joseph Proto

Chairman of the Board/Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Proto joined Transactis as its chairman in 2006 and became CEO in 2007. Mr. Proto has been in the billing and payments industry since 1982 serving many of the country's largest corporations and financial institutions at two firms he started. In 1996, Mr. Proto founded REMITCO, the nation’s largest traditional payment processor which was acquired by First Data in 2000 and he stayed on until 2006. Prior to First Data/REMITCO, Mr. Proto was a co-founder of Financial Telesis, a holding company for several businesses providing payment and data processing services to large banks and major corporations. Financial Telesis was acquired in 1992 by CoreStates Financial, which is now part of Wells Fargo Bank. For nearly 3 decades, Mr. Proto has been a prominent member of various financial services associations and has been a frequent speaker at conferences in the payments industry.

Jeffrey Greenberg

Founder

Mr. Greenberg is an accomplished entrepreneur and has founded several companies focusing on direct marketing and customer service infrastructure solutions. Mr. Greenberg was co-founder of Electronic Direct Marketing in 1996 and he launched the Internet Catalogue/Opt-in Email Marketing Company's call center in 1997. In 2000 Mr. Greenberg founded eStara, the leader in the voice over IP (VoIP) space for e-commerce. The product allows Internet users the ability to talk to a live customer service representative from the convenience of their computer screen with the ease of clicking on a Click-2-Call button serving hundreds of household name websites including Verizon, Gerbers, Hilton Hotels, JCrew and Continental Airlines. Mr. Greenberg is now CEO of ContractorsPal where he operates a network of affiliated online directories and portal websites.

Mark Walsh

Vice Chairman

Mr. Walsh is CEO of GeniusRocket (www.geniusrocket.com), an Internet advertising platform using the power of the web to bring together technology and creativity for advertisers.  Mr. Walsh is also head of Ruxton Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on interactive/Internet technology and services startup companies and serves on a number of their boards. He has been a leader in the Internet industry for over twenty-five years, heading up consumer Internet efforts for GE, running AOL's Internet and business-to-business efforts, and as CEO of VerticalNet, a business-to-business Internet company that he took public in early 1999. Mr. Walsh has been active in politics, serving as the first Chief Technology Advisor for the Democratic National Committee,Internet head for the John Kerry for President Campaign, as founding CEO of Air America Radio and currently co-hosts a weekly talk show called "Left Jab" on XM Satellite Radio. Mr. Walsh is also active in the non-profit community including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, In2Books and is a senior fellow at The Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland.

Johnson Kachidza

Managing Principal, Knox Lawrence

Mr. Kachidza has been a Managing Principal and co-founder at Knox Lawrence, Inc. (KLI), a leading New York City based private equity firm, since 2001. Prior to KLI, Mr. Kachidza was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch with direct involvement in over $10B of M&A in New York.  Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Kachidza was with JP Morgan Chase Bank in New York and Johannesburg where he advised clients in the utility sector in mergers, acquisitions and capital financing. Prior to JP Morgan Chase, Mr. Kachidza served as Project Engineer at General Electric where he led cross functional teams in developing new products from concept through to product launch. Mr. Kachidza is a holder of U.S. Patent Number 5,686,795 for a product design in fluorescent lamp technology.

Howard Aiken

CEO/Chairman, Vermont Information Processing

Mr. Aiken is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Vermont Information Processing (VIP).  Mr. Aiken began his distinguished career as an engineer at IBM 40 years ago and then followed his entrepreneurial calling to create VIP over three decades ago.  VIP is headquartered in Burlington, Vermont and initially started as a shared computer services provider. Mr. Aiken has since grown VIP to become the largest software-as-a-service provider to the beverage industry serving over half the supplier’s in the industry with high quality accounting and technology solutions.
